 The Committee considers itself a mediator between international, cooperating partners and German hospitals.
It provides foreign doctors with information on the efficacy of the
German health care system. This, in turn, offers doctors the chance to
provide their patients with medical treatment in selected German
hospitals with highly qualified medical and nursing staff.
The Committee does not forge links between patients and individual
hospitals. Instead, doctors and patients work with selected companies
to choose the appropriate German hospital for a specific medical
treatment.
Today, more than 100 German acute hospitals and rehabilitation clinics
are affiliated with the Committee. They cover almost the entire
spectrum of German top-level medicine.
The list of members reflects the variety of hospital carriers in
Germany: there are University hospitals just like public, non-profit,
church and private hospitals. They are spread all over Germany. The
common goal of our work is to offer high-quality medical services to
foreign patients too. Provided that the clinics have all necessary
qualifications the Committee is principally open to every clinic. Here,
our criteria are, among others, adequate organizational structures,
language services and high-quality medical services.
